BBSR – Building ideas for tomorrow

Demand for sustainable, barrier-free building

For the bautec fair in Berlin from 16 to 19 February 2016, Event Consult built the 120 m2 exhibition stand for the German Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR). Event Consult was responsible for the graphic design concept, stand layout, stand construction and the exhibits on display.

Research Initiative showcased groung-breaking technologies

At the fair, the BBSR’s “Future Building” research initiative provided an insight into future construction trends and pioneering technologies. Professor Heike Klussmann’s DysCrete exhibit showed that solar power can come from concrete, while an interactive user interface on the energy-plus house in Frankfurt designed by Professor Manfred Hegger also provided information about energy use and energy generation.

Professional dialogue

The research initiative provided information about sustainable, inexpensive and barrier-free construction. As well as posters and publications, renowned speakers presented their findings and experience during a presentation next to the Zukunft Bau (Future Building) stand. Visitors to bautec were invited to find out about the “Future Building” research initiative and enjoy discussions with specialists from the sector.
