IAA Frankfurt – Second High-Level Dialogue

Expert dialogue on the occasion of the motor show

At the invitation of Federal Minister Alexander Dobrindt, the “Second High-Level Dialogue for Automated and Connected Driving“ was held on 14 and 15 September 2017 at the booth of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure at “New Mobility World“ within the scope of the ”IAA International Motor Show“. The event was held at the Frankfurter Hof Hotel and the Frankfurt am Main exhibition grounds.

Mobile future on a European test track

Different technical questions were discussed during the meeting. One of the results of the high-level meeting was an agreement between the countries Germany, France and Luxembourg for the joint test track “Digital test field“. This border triangle may make automated driving a successful model in the future, if the test track proves successful.

Automated driving is a European project

Initially a small initiative, the topic of connected driving has become an international affair in the meantime. Aside from the host, the Ministers of Transport and multiple commissioners of the European Union as well as representatives from associations and industrial sectors participated. In addition to technical aspects of connected driving, the discussions also included ethical aspects of future mobility.

Event Consult was tasked with professional planning and implementation

Event Consult was responsible for the organisation and overall technical implementation. At first this meant creating the framework for meetings and selecting the different rooms for this purpose.

The service package also included the design and realisation of media and print products, equipment of the rooms, provision of interpreter and driver services, catering and friendly hostesses.
