The BMVI promotes the technologies of the future

Automated and networked driving, high-speed networks and modern satellite communication: the German Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) is responsible for mobility and modernity in Germany.

The Ministry is cooperating with partners from industry and the research community as well as digital professionals to further advance the process of digitisation and exploit its huge potential. The pioneers of future technologies are to be supported so that Germany can make the leap into the innovation landscape of digitised manufacturing (known in Germany as Industrie 4.0).

Alexander Dobrindt, German Federal Minister for Transport and Digital Infrastructure, hosted the first government hackathon, in which coders, hackers and IT designers were invited to take part in the 1st BMVI Data Run.

Event Consult provides framework for the Hackathon

The framework for the Hackathon on 13 and 14 November was created by Event Consult. In collaboration with the client, all necessary technical facilities and the setup were planned in such a way that all measures could be completed effectively down to the smallest detail.
