First E-Fuels Conference kicks off in Munich

The 1st E-Fuels Conference of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure took place on 4 September 2023. Representatives from politics, associations, international organisations, business and science were invited by Federal Minister Dr Volker Wissing to discuss how the market ramp-up of electrofuels could be shaped. 

 

Discussions and information sessions for common goals

In the first discussion round, manufacturers of transport equipment and users shared their views on market potential and their strategic direction for the future use of e-fuels. In the second round, producers and the scientific community provided insights into the opportunities and challenges of e-fuel production. Finally, in the third round, the subsidies and incentives needed for the effective scaling of e-fuels production were discussed.

 

High-ranking guests at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof

EU ministers, selected international ministers and numerous international experts from the business community, associations and the scientific community took part in the industry meeting in the ballroom of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich. The purpose of the meeting was to create a common knowledge basis through the international networking of politics, business and science and create synergies for accelerating the market ramp-up of e-fuels.
